The Verbal Processor. He wants to talk through all decisions and ideas. There’s a lot of talking that goes on during your exchange with a verbal processor but not form you; it needs to come from him. At the end of a conversation you might be exhausted, but the verbal processor is just getting warmed up.

History of Marketing
“It explains the history of marketing – from the relatively simple olden days which saw few brands and simple USPs to the current situation of sensory and mental overload where the consumer is incessantly bombarded with advertising. This resulted in the radical shift from advertising acceptance to outright rejection.”
“Marketing people, kill yourselves”, Bill Hicks

Did you know there were 6.6 billion people and 3.3 billion cellphone subscribers in October 2007? 60% take mobile phone to bed every night.

I agree with Tomi saying: “I’ve been saying for a long time now, that mobile is to the internet, like TV was to radio, a far more compelling and soon-to-be dominating mass media platform.”

Inovacije brez konca

Ta razmišljanja so me navdihnila, da zamenjam naslov bloga v terra incognita.
E-bay, story and philosophy

Today I went to see a presentation by Neel Sundaresan, the director of eBay Research Labs and a distinguished research scientist. He held an interesting lecture beginning with an “Ultimate reject letter“.
Next, he expressed Ebay’s business standpoint in a very amusing way, with a funny example. His message was simple and clear – national philosophy doesn’t work in global economy.

- “Pomembno, preberi takoj!” (Nikakor). Kaj je pomembno in kaj ni, ne odločate vi. Če je vsebina pomembna, jo enostavno dajte v naslov.
- “Sestanek” (Nikakor). Premalo informacij – brez odpiranja pošte ni mogoče izvedeti za podrobnosti, zato je naslov precej neuporaben.
- “Follow-up glede sestanka” (Pogojno).

An I’ll-be-back marketing idea
Remember the frightening story from the Terminator. Do we dare to think with today’s eyes?
My try.
… and T4 is comming out next year.

Automated marketing
Most people will agree with this definition: "Marketing is communication, it’s a dirty business, marketeers are kind of wizards. Basically marketing is searching for a way to fulfil consumers’ wants, attempting to mould them toward the products or services offered between need and best way to fulfil the need." This sounds a bit creepy, but if you add some prediction and technology development to this story, it could be frieghtening.
Is it possible to automate this process?
Merging virtuality and reality
Ray Kurzweil predicts that computers the size of blood cells will create fully immersive virtual realities by 2033. Wow?! Exponential growth in processing power and the shrinking of technology would see the development of microscopic computers.
